• Use of Coconut Oil as Enema Saves Woman's Colon from being Surgically Removed due to Colitis After Drugs Failed

A new case study out of Germany just published in The American Journal of Gastroenterology documents the remarkable recovery of a woman who was recommended to have part of her colon removed, including her anus, due to a severe case of Crohn's disease and complicated by diversion colitis. She refused to have a proctectomy (to surgically remove a portion of her colon along with her anus) as recommended by her doctors, and requested a natural approach instead. Therefore, her doctors started daily local administration of three and half ounces of prewarmed coconut oil as a rectal enema. The patient saw immediate results within one week, and after 12 weeks, she was free of pain and returned to work.

While I won't dissuade anyone from taking coconut oil for this or any other condition, please let me tell you what CURED my Crohn's & Colitis and saved me from having to have large chunks of my guts removed: This iswhat did it for me - soil bacteria. That's what is supposed to be in the mammalian gut as the co-digesters and as the auto-immune balancers, as the mammals eat food from outdoors. It can be bought as pre-packaged, medical grade powder ("HSO's" - homeostatic soil organisms) that can simply be sprinkled lightly on your food. Or you can do what I did and forage edible greens that grow close to the ground. The rain pelts bits of dirt on the leaves, the sun makes the bacteria go dormant, and munching them gets you not only the soil bacteria we were made to have/need, but the extra nutrition that you can't get anywhere else - magnesium, selenium, thousands of antioxidants. Just make sure it's not sprayed (if the bugs have been eating it, so can you) and from clean dirt (no runoff from roads, parking lots, or non-organic farm fields). Good luck!
    Brian - Thanks for sharing!

Don - congrats on finding a cure. Would you be interested in sharing your story to help other's still suffering? Please consider adding your experience with IBD to our research center: http://www.onegreatgut.com/share-your-story Thank You. - Joel
