• Florida Illegally Separating Children of U.S. Citizens from their Parents - Where's the Outcry?

Young children torn from their parents, sleeping in a different bed every night. Families torn apart needlessly - and illegally -- over and over again. But this time it's not the U.S.-Mexico border. This time it's Florida. Who says it's illegal? A report commissioned by the state itself. Why is it happening? In part, because caseworkers are terrified of "media consequences" if they leave a child in her or his own home and something goes wrong.

Thank you for your efforts to educate the public. More and more I have hope that the general public will hear the wake up call and protest the rampant abuse of power which is funneling billions of dollars in federal grant money into the pockets of those who profit at the expense of the innocent children who harmed by this system. I am from the Tampa area and unfortunately have personally witnessed the corruption first hand. The FBI should be investigating under Title 42, U.S.C., Section 14141 rather than a state task force. The CPS supervisor in charge of my toddler grandson's case short circuited every safety measure built into the system to close the case in a record 2 weeks while recklessly putting him in grave danger without the slightest attempt to gather any facts or investigate in any way. Then when that 'safety plan' blew up in her face, the case was reopened and eventually turned over to state subcontractors and there is zero interest there for any real facts surrounding his case or what might serve his best interests. Once we began to realize the extent of the corruption, I quickly searched for and found his caseworker's mugshots - both of them. Pre-trial diversion 9 years ago for theft and more recently 12 months of probation for drunken and restless driving. Six months of that probation was served while regularly driving my loved around town. I wrote to a high ranking official to simply ask that someone see to it that they stop breaking the law and follow their own policy and procedure. The response I got was that they system is working as it should. I suppose he either hadn't read the report of a state task force made public a few weeks later stating that FL Child Welfare services doesn't follow their own policy/procedure or he simply doesn't care.

Thank you for taking the time to write about and share this with the American citizens that this is happening all over our country every day to hundreds of thousands of children and families unnecessarily and I might say illegally. The fight is horrendious to attempt to win, no Due Process, no jury by your peers, take the stand or you are thought of by the court as guilty, you're guilty, of a false allegation, until you have a court date, can be a year or longer, until you maybe able to prove yourself innocent and your child has not been adopted by then. Forced to sign agreements and told if you do not sign your child will be taken from you. Everything is done under a threat of taking your child if you do not do as they say and "cooperate" Five dirty dishes in your sink constitutes a "filthy home" it goes on and on. Do more investigating, talk to more families, Coming to Washington D.C, soon and in September. I can only imagine the amount of people that will be there. This cruilty to children and families without the knowledge of "The People" needs to stop. And you wonder why we have a drug and prostition problem! Find the statistics and it's not rocket science. Thank you,
