• American Children Terrorized by CPS While Lawmakers Cry About Border Children

Americans are in an uproar about illegal immigrant parents and children separated at the border. The level of hysteria surrounding this topic has reached a fever pitch with senators like Chuck Schumer mugging distraught for the cameras at every opportunity. While the shrill voices shriek loudly about the rights of Mexicans and other assorted border jumpers, American parental rights are being stripped from them, unconstitutionally, every single day. American parents have lost their due process and Fourth Amendment rights, and most of them don't even know it. Most anyone who has been visited by Child Protective Services can testify to the absolute terror that the state can inflict on a family for very little or no reason at all. Right now in the state of Mississippi, Michael Chambers is missing his little girl, Belle. His nightmare began when a Mississippi social worker, Kyra Reed (who also goes by Kyra Carson), knocked on his door demanding entrance without a warrant. Chambers was never told what the charges were. Chambers refused to allow the social worker in without a warrant, and this began a process of the social worker trying to get into the home without a warrant. When she was unsuccessful, she simply abducted Chambers' daughter from school.

I am actually going through a current investigation. I actually still can't decide how to feel about all of this even after over 2 months since my daughter was taken from me. my story all started with someone more or less out of getting back at my parents calling CPS in order to hurt my parents because they loved their granddaughter. in turn I'm pulled into this issue. I propose an interesting circumstance though, in my life back in the 1980's I was taken from my family. the accusation was that a family member did something to me and my brothers. at some point I was returned to my family although the accused at the time was put into jail for a short period of time.

now roughly a couple of years ago I find out I have a daughter, so I do the paternity test and such, I step up. through the CPS process to get her I had to do 19 urine tests, a hair follicle test, an 80 hour alcohol test, all came up clean. I was treated like a drug addict though, put into programs that when I said something was used word for word when there was supposed to be confidentiality which I think is illegal. I think instead of people fighting with the argument of morality because that never works, and understanding these people are the government so be it, they might as well be paying themselves, still, the state funds part of CPS. if say someone was to start pointing out the waste of the state funds to the heads of state that account for how funding is spent and showed that a huge amount of funds was being wasted with the persons working in CPS then that might just raise a few eyebrows.

but still, nearing the end of my CPS battle where coming up shortly in court a decision will be made putting everything on the table, where the judge will decide either CPS was in the wrong or that I never see my daughter again until I think she's the age of 16. I propose my situation is pretty unique and given the fact I probably was targeted as a low income parent where CPS thought they had the upper legal hand and yet my family owns a multi million dollar business where my parents threw $10,000 at a lawyer without batting an eye lol. but honestly, when I as a child was taken from CPS from my family and returned, when I was treated like a drug addict at the time of getting my daughter by CPS and then probably an immense amount of tax dollars wasted on 20 or so drug test proving I wasn't, and now going through the same allegations that my family member went through when I was little having my daughter taken from me, if I get my daughter back at the next court thing I think that in itself is 3 for 3 CPS harassed me and my family and lost all 3 times and I'm sure that's unique enough to probably chat with a couple of news channels, publish a book, maybe even sell the movie rights to Hollywood because most people that do nothing wrong and are innocent don't ever see CPS more then once or twice in their lives and of course I was told that CPS holds a grudge and I'm supposed to head for the hills and get as far away from here as I can when I get my daughter back or they can just show up at some point in the future and repeat this process again and again as many times as they want and get away with it.

MK, your points here are all well taken and the Chambers story, like so many, is heartbreaking. I do, however wish you would reconsider the words “border jumpers” in this piece as those words, while interpretable as neutral, are more likely to be read a callous and may lead to readers not finishing the piece. I am deeply appreciative of your work and follow closely. But those words did indeed feel callous.

In my own circle, I have been pointing out the hypocrisy of our politicians and media in front paging border separations while engaging in near complete black out on the middle of night kidnappings Americans experience daily.

Nor are the politicians and media crediting CPS terror with a sea change in how we parent — better to critique helicopter moms than admit that at some level we’re all afraid that if we don’t police our kids the state will take them and do it for us.

The hypocrisy in media, politicians, and the rest of us is astonishing when it comes to seeing the border seizures as an issue but not such kidnappings throughout America, as a matter of course, monetized, and off the rails since Clinton, not counting the kidnapping of slave and indigenous children in psychological/political warfare against those populations. The US has quite literally used abduction of children as a means of controlling populations — forever.

Nevertheless, the use of “border jumpers” comes across as a bit glib under the circumstances and I think is counterproductive to your mission at this time.
