Dr. Brownstein: Where Is Our Billion Dollars to Develop a Zika Vaccine?Did you ever wonder what happened to Zika? You should, as our Government gave the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) $1.1 billion to study and develop a vaccine against Zika. Where did that money go and what happened to Zika? The CDC and the other Powers-That-Be should be asking for money to study why autism has increased at epidemic rates in our children. Instead of asking for billions to study a benign virus, perhaps we should be studying our children. President Trump, when he was campaigning for office, stated that he wanted to drain the swamp in Washington D.C. Let’s start draining the swamp by asking the CDC for the $1.1 billion dollars it wasted studying Zika and developing a vaccine that was never needed. Better yet, let’s demand to know how this money was spent.

The autism numbers are even worse than stated at his blog. In December, 2017, the CDC announced that autism affects 1 out of 36 children in the USA (1 out of 28 boys). Even these numbers are conservative as newborns being damaged today will not be counted in the statistics until perhaps 3 or 4 years from now. Likewise, children being counted as autistic today may have been damaged as long as three or four years ago. Either way you look at it, we are presented with delayed information, and this tends to understate the problem. When babies being damaged this year by their aluminum containing Hepatitis B vaccine followed by their vaccinations at 2 months, 4 months, 6 months, 1 year, etc. lead into an autism diagnosis three years from now, and become part of CDC statistics 4 years from now, the CDC may report autism has increased to 1 out of 27 children (1 out of 20 boys). We are talking about millions of children being damaged and hundreds of billions of dollars of costs to society, and that's only in one country
