I have been using coconut oil for 5 days I am taking 3 spoons a day plus the oil pulling everyday and I have noticed some good changes. My sight had improved I can read small letter now and I don' t feel tired with the computer anymore, I am sleeping better and more also my brain is sharper , more energetic... less hunger, totally fade spider veins, wrinkle and is healing my athletic foot and has improved a lot my cellulite. As well my mouth health my tooth are whiter and my gums look healthier. I am very happy!!! ;-) -

That's a legitimate concern. Too many people start out with too much coconut oil. Start very slow, being sure to mix it in with food, preferably food high in fiber and protein, as that is how it is packaged in nature inside the coconut. Alternatively, you can start out with dried coconut chips or flakes, if she like the taste of coconut. If not, hide it in food but start slow, just a teaspoon at a time. It can actually lead to weight gain if she can tolerate it. -

My daughter told me about coconut oil after I started suffering severe and disturbing memory loss and brain fog to the point that I could barely have a conversation with anyone. I've been using it for over a year now and am very pleased to be myself again. The fog is gone and I'm able to drive safely again. I've been able to resume my hobbies: knitting and crochet because I can read and remember the patterns now. I use 3 or 4 TBSP per day, stirred into my coffee. I use organic virgin coconut oil which I order online because my small town doesn't have it. Over time, I found an additional benefit: my joints have stopped cracking all the time and I'm much more flexible once again. I'm 65 years old. My father died after a long struggle with Alzheimer's Disease. Therefore, I am dedicated to trying to avoid developing it myself now that they have discovered there is likely a genetic link to the disease. To anyone who decides to try the oil, be patient. Not everyone has a rapid response. It was almost a week until I noticed a difference, and a month before I actually felt "normal". A friend e-mailed my husband Dr. Neport's video clip last week. I watched it and told my husband that it couldn't hurt to try. My mother is at end-stage Alzheimers. I found the coconut oil fairly easily and started using it instead of butter, grease, or other oils in all my food preperations. In one week I have noticed a remarkable improvement in my mother. She is holding lucid conversations and has shown cognative reasoning that I have not seen in her in 3 years. Also, both my mother and husband have had a drastic decline in the severity of their tremors/shakes that they had. All 3 of us are showing a drop in our blood-pressures, to the point that we don't have to take our BP meds as often to avoid dropping our BP too low. After reading and studying more on the benefits of coconut oil, I plan to increase the amount that we use daily to get our bodies back to a state of good health. -

Coconut oil is a traditional food that has nourished children for thousands of years. It is beneficial to all children, whether diagnosed with ADHD or not. Since ADHD is an arbitrary diagnosis defined by behavior, it would be very difficult to construct any kind of study on coconut oil and ADHD.
